FPS / ShooterDelta Force Operators Guide 2026: All Classes, Roles & Best Picks
Every operator in Delta Force belongs to one of four classes: Assault, Engineer, Support and Recon. Your class does not decide your weapon — guns are chosen separately and shared across every class. What the class decides is your gadgets, passive traits and role on the team.
That means two players can carry the identical rifle and play completely different games. Picking the right class for how you naturally play is the fastest way to stop feeling useless even when your aim is fine.

Assault — Frontline Breakers
Role: aggressive pushing, holding pressure, winning direct firefights. Assault has the most self-sufficient kits, so it's the best class for solo-queue players who like to make individual plays.
Passive traits: Tactical Mastery (keeps you moving at speed while aiming down sights) and Faster Reload.
- D-Wolf (Kai Silva) — the standout Assault pick. His Motorized Exoskeleton boosts sprint speed and rate of fire, his Tactical Slide lets you slide into and out of tight corners, and his passive restores HP on knockdowns so you rely less on a Support teammate.
- Nox (Élio de Montbel) — a stealthier Assault. His Deep Trauma trait makes enemies he damages take longer to heal and extends their downed timers, while Silent Assault removes him from the minimap entirely.
- Tempest — an agile deadlock-breaker with an Emergency Evasion Device that yanks her back to an anchor point when she takes lethal damage.
- Vyron (Wang Yuhao) — a former fighter pilot whose QLL32 grenade launcher fires compressed-air rounds that knock opponents down.

Engineer — Area Denial & Anti-Vehicle
Role: vehicle countermeasures, traps, fortifications and holding ground. In Warfare, Engineers are the answer to enemy armour; in Operations they lock down corridors.
Passive traits: Explosive Resistance (less damage from grenades and rockets) and Fortification Specialist (faster to repair or place deployable cover).
- Gizmo (Rashid Rahal) — his Crawler Nest deploys sentry bots that hunt and explode on targets; his ultimate is a hunting spider that fires a restraining web to lock down movement.
- Shepherd (Terry Mursa) — a sonic Engineer whose Sonic Trap slows and penetrates armour, backed by a Sonic Paralysis drone that cuts enemy fire rate and movement.
- Uluru (David Feller) — the tank-buster. His Loitering Munition fires an image-guided bomb that splits into four on impact, and Quickset Cover builds instant concrete barriers.
- Sineva (Alexei Petrov) — crowd control: a Grapple Gun that pulls enemies (including downed ones) toward him, plus a Total Armor vest whose Blast Shield can bash thrown grenades back.

Support — Heals, Revives and Sustain
Role: keep the squad in the fight with healing, revives and debuffs. A squad with no Support struggles to survive prolonged engagements.
Passive traits: Medical Expert (revive downed allies 50% faster) and Supply Efficiency (more resources from ammo crates).
- Stinger (Roy Smee) — the default Support pick and one of the strongest operators in the game. His Hive-Tech Pistol heals multiple allies (and debuffs enemies it passes through), while his Hive-Tech Smoke can be shot into a healing zone. His Smokescreen lets the squad revive safely under fire.
- Toxik (Zoya Pomchenkova) — an aggressive Support whose "Dragonfly" swarm buffs allies with adrenaline while impairing enemy vision and reducing their max HP.
- Vlinder (Lina Van der Meer) — a drone-healing Support whose Flutter Rescue UAVs seek out friendly units and can each intercept one instance of explosive damage.

Recon — Intel and Marksmanship
Role: find enemies before the team runs into them. Recon has the highest skill ceiling — its value depends almost entirely on how actively you use your gadgets.
Passive traits: Silent Footsteps (much less noise while walking or crouching) and Advanced Spotting (your red pings last longer).
- Luna (Luna Kim) — the top-tier Recon pick. Her Detection Arrow marks enemies through walls, applies damage over time, and can be upgraded into an electrifying Volt Arrow — effectively giving your whole squad wallhack-level intel.
- Raptor (Landon Harrison) — a hunter-recon whose Wing Cam lets you switch to a placed enemy's viewpoint (destroying the camera reveals your position).
- Hackclaw (Mai Xiaowen) — her Signal Decoder periodically scans for up to three enemy signals, and her Flash Drone flies those lines to blind whole groups.
- Morse (Luke Everley) — his Sonic Sense extends hearing range and roughly marks noisy enemies, ideal for countering crouch-walkers.

How to Build a Squad
Class composition matters more than any single operator pick:
- 2 Assault + 1 Recon + 1 Support — the standard all-rounder squad. Recon finds the enemy, Assault breaks them, Support keeps everyone alive.
- Engineer + Support (vehicle hunt) — the Engineer deals the big anti-vehicle hits while the Support keeps their ammo topped up for a sustained barrage.
- Full Recon (stealth push) — suppressed weapons and synchronised pings let a coordinated squad clear objectives without raising the alarm.
A squad with no Recon is blind; a squad with no Support can't sustain a fight. Fill both before you double up on anything else.
Which Class Should You Pick?
- Like pushing and making plays? → Assault (D-Wolf).
- Like enabling your team? → Support (Stinger).
- Like being the info hub? → Recon (Luna).
- Like gadgets, traps and vehicles? → Engineer (Gizmo).

Quick Notes
- Classes are not locked to queues — switch freely between matches, and sometimes between respawns.
- Traits are passive and free — you get the class trait regardless of which operator within the class you pick.
- Operators unlock through the Battle Pass, events and in-game challenges; prioritise 2–3 across different classes rather than spreading yourself thin.
Pick a class that matches your instincts, learn one operator well, then branch out — a specialist beats a generalist almost every time.
